Course overview
This course provides those with basic UNIX or LINUX user experience the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure and manage their Red Hat and SUSE Linux systems. Topics include installation, system admin, configuring X Windows, configuring the kernel, Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and RAID, security and basic troubleshooting. Coupled with the next course, Linux System Administration II (H7092s) is our recommended curriculum to assist those system administrators wishing to prepare for one of the Linux certifications: Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Level 1, Red Hat (RHCE, RHCT), or SAIR.
